Agriculture sector plays a very important role in both economic development and Nation building. India is globally in the forefront of development of agriculture. The goal is to achieve doubling the farmers income. However, more than 86% of farmers in the country are small and marginal. There is a need to facilitate our farmers with access to improved technology, credit, better input and more markets to incentivize them to produce better quality commodity. For this, Aggregation of small, marginal and landless farmers and implementation of Integrated Farming System will help enhance economic strength & market linkages of farmers for enhancing their income.

Our aim is to improve livelihood condition of farmers particularly Small and Marginal Marmers by providing new Life Chances and Choices through Smart Digital Technology and market access.

Since Global food systems are increasingly at risk, rising demand, scarce resources and increased volatility are placing new pressures on an already stressed agriculture sector. Over 130 Million people in India, many of them small and mar farmer, remain poor and deprived of Smart Knowledge, Smart Technology, Smart Storage & Logistics Facilities. Most of them are deprived and suffer from incidence of poverty. To tackle their challenges Profarm Agro & Logistics has aims to build Integrated Smart Farming Network with Smart Storage & Logistics Facility for Small & Marginal Farmers. This initiative is Inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra ModiJi Vision for AtmaNirbhar Bharat. Agriculture has remarkable contribution in Making of The New India and AtmaNirbhar Bharat. The New India agriculture calls for a new approach to agriculture that will deliver Food, Security, Environmental Sustainability and Economic Opportunity for Millions of Small & Marginal Farmers. SMART INFRASTRUCTURE FOR PROCUREMENT

Inspired by Shri Narendra ModiJi Vision of One Nation One Market, Our Aim is to create Smart Infrastructure for Procurement of Crops and their Storage as well as Logistics (Transportation) for the benefit of Small and Marginal Farmers.
Agri-produce is seasonal and perishable. So agri products becomes susceptible to wastage. Seasonality and perishable nature of agri products also causes variability in price and quality. This affects agro industries and food manufacturers whose business depends on procuring suitable raw materials.
Our Aim is to create Smart Infrastructure for Procurement of Crops and their Storage as well as Logistics (Transportation) at pan-India level.
Our aim is to provide a range of services to agro industries and food manufacturers to source the right quality and quantity at the right price and time.

SMART INFRASTRUCTURE FOR WAREHOUSING-STORAGE

With a growing need of warehouses across the state of Bihar Profarm Agro & Logistics has Aim to build 38 Ware Houses across Bihar in next five years. Our aim is to make a strong presence in Indian agri-warehousing market.
We believe leveraging private-sector capabilities is essential to meet public needs and we are taking the lead in contributing to India's efforts in combating hunger and achieving food security. Therefore We have aimed to build integrated and modern pan-Bihar warehousing network to maximise the efficiency and reduce post-harvest losses. We aim to significantly increase farmer incomes with high-quality storage, protection from pest infestation and pilferage. We have aim to ensure the physical integrity of the agri product stock, both in terms of quality and quantity.
Our warehouses will have round the clock physical security, and plans are afoot to build CCTV-led remote monitoring facilities from a central location. We will be implementing an IT backbone whereby real-time stock updates will be available to customers at the click of a mouse.
Our Warehousing Services aim to bridge the gap between the demand and supply of warehousing facilities and reducing supply chain losses.

Our end-to-end logistics solutions, along with warehousing and procurement aim to Reduce intermediary costs and Maximize profits for farmers. With a Strong farmer partnerships, We aim to leverage enduring relation with the farmer with logistics services to source superior quality agri-produce directly from the producers.

AGRI TRADE MANDIS & VILLAGE RETAIL OUTLETS

Profarm Agro & Logistics aims to build an efficient, modern and transparent agri-marketplace that brings farmers and buyers on the same platform. With our first-of-their-kind private mandis, we aim to transform agri trade and marketing infrastructure across Bihar.
We aim to Establish Electronic Trading Platforms and Modern Rural Retail and Wholesale Markets as private 'mandis' licensed by the government that serve as information, innovation and trade centres for agri produce.
Understanding of rural consumers needs, we aim to open Rural Retail Chain to caters to the agricultural and consumer needs of Indian farmers (Fertilisers, Seeds, pesticides etc) and their families (Consumer goods) with the right product mix. Chain of retail outlets would be Technology driven where sellers, buyers, and end customers converge for fair prices and deals.

MICRO FINANCE & INSURANCE SERVICES:

Profarm Agro & Logistics aim and strive to provide services that improve the efficiency of rural community. Our aim is to leverage through building an extensive Rural Self Sufficient Financial System to create value for Banks and Non Banking Financial Institutions, Agri-Processors and the large network of farmers spread across rural Bihar.
We aim to provide "Connectivity Provision of Retail Networks" of Banks, Non Banking Financial Institutions, Insurance Companies, Food Processing Companies to Indian farmers.
In association with Banks and Other Financial institutions we aim to provide Micro Financing Services to the rural community.
We will offer a full suite of insurance products, including health, cattle and weather insurance cover to the rural community in collaboration with India's leading insurance players.

AGRICULTURAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN (JAGRUK KISHSN):

The basic objective of the farmer awareness programmes was to give exposure to the Indian farmers on various agricultural marketing reforms, modern marketing methods, direct marketing, group marketing, interface with the experts of commodities specialist and marketing personnel, ware housing, pledge financing and scientific storage of agricultural commodities in India and to upgrade the skill of the farmers.
We also aim to institutionalise Capacity Building in agriculture. Capacity Building is a conceptual approach to development that focuses on understanding the obstacles that inhibit people, governments, international organizations and non-governmental organizations from realizing their development goals. This will enhance the abilities that will allow them to achieve measurable and sustainable results. Capacity Building comprises of activities which result in transfer of knowledge, skills and attitude from one person to another or from one group to another.
One important aim of this campaign is Spreading awareness through Digital Social Media Channels about New and Innovative Farming Systems particularly Chemical Free Agriculture. Spreading knowledge about Organic Farming Systems is the main motto of Agricultural Awareness Campaign.

INTEGRATION FARMING SYSTEM:

Inspired by Late Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay vision of Antodaya, our motto is to remove the social & economic gap between rural and urban communities by increasing income through Integration Farming System.
In the modern times of growing populations, shrinking lands, global warming and sliding economies, the farmers need to recall the age old dictum “United we Stand, Divided we fall”. The proverb was aptly adopted long ago in 1948 by the world renowned Indian dairy cooperative society AMUL with astounding results and later by the Indian women's cooperative LIJJAT PAPAD group involved in manufacturing of ready to eat & cook and branded food products.
Our concept of Integration Farming System is to do agriculture by integrating small units of land and to increase the yield by making it profitable and sustainable. Livestock Farming is also part of Integration Farming which provides round the year income to the farmers.
Our vision is to reach every Small and Marginal Family household to empower them by training them in Integration Farming System. SMART INTERGRATED FARMING is a promising approach of farming to increase overall productivity and profitability through low cost farming and also in turn to increase the profit margin. This model is highly suitable for Small and Marginal farmers as it offers greater profitability by increasing other farm productions like Dairy, Livestock, Fishery, Sericulture , Apiculture, Solar power, Multi Cropping and Biogas plants etc. keeping Agricultural Production as the base.

National Mission For Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA)

In order to make agriculture more productive, sustainable, remunerative and climate resilient, the Government of India introduced National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA) in the year 2014-15. To achieve these goals, the mission promotes location specific sustainable and best farming practices; soil conservation and moisture protection measures; soil nutrient management; efficient and sustainable water management practices with mainstreaming rainfed methods.
As a major component of the mission, 'On Farm Water Management' (OFWM) is being implemented with the objective of increasing water use efficiency by promoting modern technologies such as micro irrigation and sustainable water management practices, efficient water consumption, better distribution channels along with secondary storage facilities.

2.Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY)

The extreme weather conditions such as droughts, floods and hailstorms cause crop failures and financial loss to the farmers every year. And therefore, to save them from these ill effects, the Government, by merging all previous crop insurance schemes, launched Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) from Kharif 2016 season with the aim to support production in agriculture by providing an affordable crop insurance system.
Central government has made Aadhaar mandatory for availing crop insurance from Kharif 2017 season. The scheme has been restructured with states given option to determine scale of finance at district level as per average yield.

Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY)

The Government of India has structured Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) with the vision to extend the coverage of irrigation and improving water use efficiency in a focused manner. PMKSY focuses end to end solution on source creation, distribution, management, field application and extension activities. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs had approved the irrigation scheme on July 1,, 2015.
The Centre has structured the scheme with merging previous irrigation and water management programmes such as Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP), Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) and On Farm Water Management (OFWM) scheme. The Centre has approved Rs. 50,000 crore for five years for the implementation of the flagship irrigation scheme across India.

Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY)

Parampragat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) is one of the important government schemes which encourages farmers for traditional and organic farming in India. Under the scheme, the Government of India provides a financial assistance to the farmers of Rs 50,000 per hectare every three years for organic inputs, certification, labelling, packaging, transportation and marketing of organic produce. The scheme focuses on reducing the ill effects of overuse of fertilisers and agrochemicals by promoting organic manures, bio-fertilisers and bio-pesticides. It helps improve the soil fertility by improving organic carbon in the soil which results in enhancing moisture holding capacity in the field too.

Micro Irrigation Fund scheme

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has created a Micro Irrigation Fund with a corpus of Rs. 5,000 crore implemented from 2019-20. The objective of the fund is to facilitate the states in availing an interest subvented loan for expanding coverage of micro irrigation facilities by taking up special and innovative projects and also for incentivising micro irrigation beyond the provisions available under PMKSY to encourage farmers to install micro irrigation systems.

Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region (MOVCDNER)

MOVCDNER aims to develop the certified organic production in a value chain mode to link farmers with consumers and to support the development of entire value chain starting from organic inputs, seeds, certification and creation of facilities for collection, aggregation, processing, marketing and brand building initiatives. The scheme is being implemented in north eastern states Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura

E-NAM

In order connect the existing agricultural mandis on a common online market platform for trading agricultural commodities, Government of India, launched a pan-India portal, e-National Agriculture Market (eNAM) on April 14, 2016.
So far, e-NAM has connected nearly 1,000 mandis in 18 states and three union territories. Implemented by Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC), eNAM aims at reducing transaction costs, bridging information asymmetries, and helping expansion of market access for farmers and other stakeholders. Since the implementation, e-NAM has registered a user base of 1.66 crore farmers, 1.31 lakh traders, 73,151 commission agents and 1,012 farmer producer organisation (FPOs).

Kisan Credit Card (KCC)

In a bid to provide adequate and timely credit to the farmers for their agricultural expenditures, the Central government had launched Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme in the year 1998. Under the scheme, the Government of India provides farm credit at a very subsidised rate of 4 percent per annum. Since 2019, the Centre has extended the benefits oKisan Credit Card to animal husbandry, dairy and fisheries farmers for their working capital requirement and raising the existing limit of collateral free loan from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs.1.60 lakh.
As part of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat package, the Centre has announced to cover 2.5 crore farmers under KCC scheme with a credit boost of Rs 2 lakh crore through a special drive. As a result, till October 19, 2020, according to the Government of India's data, the package has disbursed Rs. 1.35 lakh crore to 1.5 crore farmers under the scheme.

Soil Health Card

With an objective of conserving and maintaining soil nutrient and soil fertility, Soil Health Card (SHC) scheme issues soil health cards to the farmers every two years to provide a basis to address nutritional deficiencies in the fields. Under the scheme, soil testing is conducted to analyse the nutrient needs, then crop-wise fertilisers are recommended accordingly. This reduces cultivation cost by application of right fertilisers with right quantity.
In the next five years, the Centre has targeted to cover 400,000 villages under individual farm holding soil sampling and testing, organise 2.5 lakh demonstrations, set up of 250 village level soil testing labs, strengthening 200 soil testing labs and promotion of micro-nutrients in two lakh hectare area.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

Lunched on February 24, 2019, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana makes transferring of Rs 6,000 per annum directly to the farmers' bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in three instalments of Rs 2,000 each. The scheme supplements the financial needs of the small and marginal farmers in buying farm inputs and other agricultural expenses, The scheme aims to protect the farmers from falling in the vicious traps of local moneylenders and ensures their continuance in the farming activities.

PM-Kusum

In order to reduce the consumption of diesel and electricity for agricultural irrigation, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyaan (PM-Kusum) scheme in February 19, 2019. With a total Central financial support of Rs 34,422 crore, PM Kusum scheme aims to add solar and other renewable capacity of 25,750 MW by 2022.
Under the scheme, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has targeted to install 10,000 MW of decentralised grid connected renewable power plants of individual plant size up to 2 MW, installation of 20 lakh solar powered agricultural pumps of individual pump capacity up to 7.5 HP and solarisation of 15 lakh grid-connected irrigation pumps of individual capacity up to 7.5 HP.
